Jobot is seeking a Remote Structural Engineer to join their team. The role involves conducting site studies, writing technical reports, and providing expert testimony related to property and structural investigations.
About the Role
As a Remote Structural Engineer, you will evaluate damages to building materials for residential and commercial structures, write detailed technical reports, and provide excellent customer service. You may also be required to provide expert testimony and pursue additional training and certifications. Travel may be necessary for investigations.
About You
Required:
- BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Registered as an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Connecticut.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong technical writing abilities with experience using Microsoft Word.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred:
- 2-3 years of experience in failure analysis, forensic or structural inspection.
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction, building codes, design, or related experience.
- Active NCEES record or eligibility to obtain within 90 days of employment.
