Burwell Material Handling is seeking a Rental Sales Representative to join their team in Ashland, VA. The role involves growing the equipment rental business across the general construction market through relationship building and customer-first solutions.
About the Role
As a Rental Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and managing relationships with construction contractors, identifying new rental opportunities, creating tailored rental proposals, and ensuring customer satisfaction through collaboration with the Rental and Service departments. You will conduct regular jobsite visits and stay informed on project timelines while attending sales training and industry events to enhance your skills.
About You
Required:
3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in rental equipment or construction-related industries.
Strong knowledge of construction equipment such as telehandlers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and related tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
Comfortable working in and around active construction sites.
Highly motivated and organized, with a track record of hitting sales targets.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.
