About the Role
As a Repair Manager, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and oversee Area Managers and Supervisors across various shifts. Your responsibilities include supervising repair operations, maintaining production schedules, driving performance metrics, assisting in budget preparation, monitoring productivity and safety, training new supervisors, and conducting safety training.
About You
Required:
- 5 years of experience in tank car/rail car production leadership.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer aptitude.
- Physical ability to climb ladders and enter confined spaces.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of AAR, FRA, and DOT regulations.
- Experience with safety practices, welding, metal fabrication, and blueprint reading.
