As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for quantitative and qualitative data collection, community engagement, and data analysis. You will assist on research and evaluation studies, support participant follow-up tasks, organize and maintain study databases, perform literature reviews, and assist with preparation of presentations and manuscripts. You will work with Drs. Tony Tong, Megan Ranney, and Katrina Nelson to develop relationships and provide program evaluation services for Connecticut violence intervention and prevention efforts.

About You

Required:

Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Highly organized, self-motivated, outstanding attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proven experience with community-based research and with institutional review boards (IRBs).

Master’s in health sciences, psychology, social work, and/or public health.
