About the Role
As a Research Associate I, you will participate in the development of assays for detecting genetic predisposition to disease and molecular assays for personalized medicine. Your responsibilities will include developing sophisticated clinical molecular genetic tests, conducting investigative work on unusual results, and collaborating with experimental scientists, software engineers, and data scientists. You will work on well-defined projects with clearly defined tasks and objectives.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science with relevant work experience.
- Minimum of one to two years of full-time experience working in a laboratory utilizing molecular biology techniques.
Preferred:
- Experience with nucleic acid isolation, PCR, DNA extraction, DNA sequencing, and RNA expression assays.
- Previous experience working with laboratory automation (Tecan, Bravo, Biomek, Hamilton, epMotion, etc.).
- Familiarity with Illumina NGS technology and associated molecular protocols.
