Three Rivers Midlands is seeking a Full-time Residential Counselor (1st Shift) to join their team in West Columbia, SC. The role involves working closely with the residential and clinical treatment team to support the treatment of children and adolescents.
About the Role
As a Residential Counselor, you will be responsible for implementing the resident program schedule and master treatment plan, assisting nurses in the care of residents, and engaging with residents in therapeutic activities throughout the treatment day. This position requires maintaining appropriate boundaries and providing support in a fast-paced environment.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct care experience working with adolescents and children in a Residential Treatment Facility, educational or juvenile setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, adolescent growth and development, limit-setting, and behavior management.
Preferred:
- Valid SC Drivers License.
