Summary
Vinfen is seeking a Residential Counselor to provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Windsor Locks, CT. The role involves assisting residents in building independence skills and enhancing their quality of life.
About the Role
As a Residential Counselor, you will administer medication, implement treatment plans, and assist residents with daily living activities. You will also provide transportation for community outings and work collaboratively with families and support staff to improve the lives of those you serve.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid US driver's license for at least 6 months.
- Ability to become CPR and First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment.
- Ability to become MED certified within 150 days of employment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury.
- Strong time management and writing skills.
