Northside Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join their team in Lawrenceville, GA. The role involves providing respiratory care for patients in adult, neonatal care, and outpatient CPAP centers.
About the Role
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess patients' respiratory status, set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, perform arterial punctures, and assist in high-risk deliveries as part of the Neonatal Resuscitation Team. You will also conduct noninvasive monitoring, pulmonary function testing, and ensure safety protocols are followed in accordance with hospital policies.
About You
Required:
- Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy/care education program.
- Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from Georgia Composite Medical Board.
- Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Preferred:
- Additional Life Support credential (PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
- CPFT credential from NBRC if working in the PFT Lab.
