Crossnore Communities for Children is seeking a Respite House Parent to join their team in Western North Carolina. The role involves providing 24/7 support and supervision for foster youth in a live-in capacity during respite events.
About the Role
As a Respite House Parent, you will maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children in foster care while their full-time Bridge Parents are on respite. Your responsibilities include ensuring the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the youth are met, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the children's development and well-being.
About You
Required:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Minimum of two years experience working with children and families, preferably in a mental health or child welfare setting.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
Prior residential/house parent experience or previous foster parent experience.
