Summary
Baseten is seeking a Revenue Accounting professional to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves building and scaling the revenue function in a rapidly growing, product-led environment.
About the Role
As the first revenue-focused accounting hire, you will own the full revenue lifecycle from policy and process to systems, controls, and executive partnership. Responsibilities include leading revenue accounting operations, developing revenue recognition policies under ASC 606, building processes for real-time usage-based billing, and partnering with various teams on deal structure and customer lifecycle. You will also implement automation for revenue operations, own monthly and quarterly revenue close, and act as a subject matter expert on revenue treatment.
About You
Required:
- 8+ years of revenue accounting experience in high-growth or dynamic environments.
- Direct experience with usage-based / consumption revenue models.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606, including variable consideration and contract modifications.
- Hands-on execution mindset with comfort in contract review and billing logic.
Preferred:
- Experience building and scaling a private company to high growth late-stage private or publicly-traded company.
- Big 4 public accounting experience.
