Relation Insurance Services is seeking a Risk Advisor - Employee Benefits to join their team in Dedham, MA. The role involves new insurance account production and sales activities within assigned accounts, focusing on Employee Benefits coverage.
About the Role
As a Risk Advisor, you will be responsible for conducting market research, developing a base of business, and maintaining a profitable book of insurance business for existing clients. Your daily tasks will include achieving annual revenue objectives, building a pipeline of qualified prospects, documenting new business activity, and providing consultative recommendations to clients. You will also assess risk issues and assist clients with technical services, while building strategic relationships with key decision makers.
About You
Required:
- A Life and Health License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
- A minimum of 2+ years sales experience in the insurance industry with a focus on Employee Benefits coverage is required.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills are required to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, underwriters, vendors and others.
Preferred:
- College degree preferred with preference given to individuals with experience in Risk Management.
- Strong networking and strategic vision of relationship building and utilization of Centers of Influence (COI).
- In-depth understanding of complex employee benefits lines of coverage.
