Check is seeking a Risk Analyst to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves investigating entities and transactions, shaping risk strategy, and collaborating with various teams to reduce risk and improve processes.
About the Role
As a Risk Analyst, you will own and execute company reviews, payroll monitoring, and related processes. You will build and maintain risk policies, partner with Product & Engineering to enhance risk tools, and escalate potential fraud incidents while documenting insights and driving resolutions.
About You
Required:
3 - 5 years of experience in risk and fraud investigation or a similar fintech analytics role.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage investigations from start to finish.
Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Clear and professional communication skills with internal teams and external parties.
Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Preferred:
Eager to refine processes and drive efficiency improvements.
Curious and willing to learn new tools and skills (SQL experience is a plus).
Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours.
Willingness to attend annual company offsite events.
