About the Role
As an RN in the Neuro Med-Surg unit, you will be responsible for delivering safe and appropriate care to patients with various neurological conditions. Your duties will include conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatments, patient education, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will also participate in the planning and evaluation of nursing care, adhering to all regulatory standards and promoting professional growth.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
- Certified in Basic Life Support.
- At least 6 months of RN experience in Neuro Med/Surg.
- Acute care bedside experience required.
- BSN because of Magnet status.
Preferred:
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or rehabilitation hospital.
- Additional certifications based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.
