About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the 8E Medical/Surgical Unit, you will gather and analyze patient information, develop and implement individualized care plans, and educate patients and families using teach-back methodology. You will also communicate patient status and interventions effectively during consultations and rounds, while adhering to HIPAA policies and the mission of St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals.
About You
Required:
- Graduation from a school of nursing that qualifies for the NCLEX exam.
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification for specific departments.
- Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and age-specific needs.
- Interpersonal skills to maintain collegial and therapeutic relationships.
- Critical thinking skills for performing nursing duties.
Preferred:
- BSN degree.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse, especially for Canadian applicants.
- Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail in nursing care.
