About the Role
As a Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse, you will assess patient lactation needs, implement care plans for adequate infant nutrition, collaborate with healthcare team members for education and support, instruct patients and families on lactation, maintain patient records, and administer medications as per physician orders.
About You
Required:
- Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Certification as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in lactation consulting required; previous nursing experience with mother-child preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.
