About the Role
As an RN Staff in the Medical ICU, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating nursing care for patients. Your duties will include evaluating assigned patients, implementing and documenting nursing care, assisting physicians during examinations, performing patient tests, and administering medications. You will promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions and self-care skills. The role requires a high degree of creativity and judgment, and you will typically report to a manager or head of a unit.
About You
Required:
- Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- Current License with the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred:
- At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
