St. Tammany Health System is seeking a RN Staff Per Diem - Neuroscience (Night Shift) to join their team in Covington, LA. The role involves coordinating clinical activities for Medical/Surgical patients and supervising nursing staff.
About the Role
As a RN Staff Per Diem, you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide care tailored to the specific needs of patients. This includes planning, implementing, and evaluating care, as well as supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants. You will work in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, supporting departmental and hospital goals.
About You
Required:
- Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
- Current LA RN licensure.
- BLS certified through the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Excellent computer skills required.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Preferred:
- ACLS certification encouraged.
- Basic EKG knowledge encouraged within 6 months of hire.
