Lochmueller Group is seeking a Roadway Engineering Team Leader to join their Roadway Design team in Merrillville, Indiana. The role involves overseeing a team of engineers to ensure quality and timely delivery of roadway design projects for DOT and local agencies.
About the Role
As the Roadway Engineering Team Leader, you will lead a team throughout all project phases, promote teamwork, mentor junior staff, manage client relationships, and ensure project success. You will serve as a project manager for INDOT and local agency roadway design projects, overseeing project execution, performing quality checks, and maintaining client satisfaction.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Roadway Design Engineering, with experience on INDOT roadway projects highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to maintain client relationships.
- Experience with project management and accounting software.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for design, project management, and analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
Preferred:
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
