Pave Talent is seeking a Robotics Operations Specialist for Robot Deployment and VR Teleoperation to join their Prototyping and Robotics Operations (PROps) team in Cambridge, MA. The role involves hands-on work with mobile robots and contributing to training data for next-generation robotic models.
About the Role
As a Robotics Operations Specialist, you will operate mobile robots using advanced input devices, contribute to training data generation for robotic foundation models, generate and analyze system performance data, build and maintain robotic testing stations, debug hardware and software issues, execute structured experiments, and provide technical guidance to Robot Operators.
About You
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in a technical operations, robotics, or technician role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong Linux proficiency and comfort working with GitHub version-controlled codebases.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting hardware and software systems.
- Working knowledge of common robotic sensors, actuators, and mechanical components.
- Clear communicator with strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Safety-first mindset.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a fast-paced R&D or lab operations environment.
- Hands-on experience with VR teleoperation or motion capture systems.
- Familiarity with robot data pipelines or ML training data workflows.
Benefits
- $38.50 to $47.50 per hour, depending on experience.
- 4x10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, on-site (40 hours/week).
