Gerdau North America is seeking a Rolling Mill Operator to join their team in Midlothian, TX. The role involves setting up and operating a computer numerically controlled lathe to machine rolls to finished size and contour.
About the Role
As a Rolling Mill Operator, you will report to the Roll Shop Supervisor and be responsible for planning working procedures, operating CNC lathes, selecting and profiling cutting tools, and ensuring compliance with specifications. You will also be involved in training other personnel and following safety guidelines.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
Preferred:
- Experience with CNC machinery.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs.
