NAVWAR is seeking a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist to join their team in Washington, NJ. The role involves the administration and execution of safety programs in compliance with various regulations and promoting safety strategies within the organization.
About the Role
As a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist, you will be responsible for executing safety programs as directed by federal and local regulations. Your duties will include assisting in mishap investigations, promoting safety education, preparing for inspections, maintaining safety-related materials, conducting inspections of safety equipment, and supporting medical readiness through scheduling examinations.
About You
Required:
Must be a US Citizen.
At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Knowledge of safety and occupational health laws, regulations, principles, theories, practices, and procedures.
Preferred:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree in safety or occupational health fields.
Experience in analyzing and applying safety regulations to resolve program issues.
