Summary
Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a Senior Safety & Health Manager to join their cellulose manufacturing facility in Brunswick, GA. The role involves providing leadership and guidance in Occupational Safety and Health, Process Safety, and Emergency Response.
About the Role
As a Senior Safety & Health Manager, you will supervise the Safety & Health team, partner with site leadership to develop safety improvement plans, promote a positive safety environment, apply Human and Organizational Performance concepts, ensure compliance with OSHA, and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree OR Four (4) or more years of safety experience in a pulp and paper mill.
- Safety leadership experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Experience using and applying EHS Management Systems.
- Experience interpreting and managing to OSHA, state, and local safety and compliance standards.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in safety, industrial hygiene and/or engineering/technical.
- Experience with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) concepts/methods.
- Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience establishing sustainable systems for compliance and continuous improvement.
- Experience with process safety management in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading and developing people related to safety.
