Summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking a Sales Engineering Director - Modern Infrastructure to lead and provide strategic, technical, and business guidance for their Modern Infrastructure practice, collaborating with other practice areas and managing a team of Sales Engineering Managers and Sales Engineers.

About the Role

The Sales Engineering Director will recruit, lead, coach, and mentor Sales Engineering Managers and Sales Engineers, act as a technical leader and escalation point, present sales engineering value to various audiences, contribute to sales strategies and marketing campaigns, collaborate with sales leadership to achieve goals, manage sales engineering engagements and strategic programs, drive utilization of the Arrow Solutions Lab, foster channel partner relationships with technical leadership, provide feedback through shadowing team members, act as a floating Sales Engineer Manager when needed, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and drive continuous team improvements while maintaining critical sales, supplier, and partner relationships.

About You

Required:

Proven successful Sales Engineering leadership experience.
Extensive industry experience with Modern Infrastructure vendor solutions and partner programs (e.g., Dell, HPE, IBM, Commvault, Hitachi, Lenovo, VMware).
Broad knowledge of hybrid cloud technologies and solutions such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Experience leading multi-vendor technology lab environments.
Experience driving sales of professional, managed, and support services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to partners, suppliers, sales teams, and direct reports.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, SalesForce, and presentation tools.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Highly motivated, self-starter with a 'whatever it takes' attitude to assist in closing deals.
