As a School Crossing Guard, you will be responsible for stopping traffic, assisting children in crossing streets, communicating with police department members via portable radio, reporting accidents or traffic problems, and filling in for other crossing guards as needed throughout the year.
About You
Required:
- Ability to read and write.
- Minimal experience required (less than 6 months). High school or GED preferred.
- VA driver's license.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of portable radio and police codes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to deal with all levels of the general public.
