About the Role
As a School Nurse, you will be responsible for providing basic healthcare to students, participating in IEP plan development, maintaining effective relationships with students and staff, conducting health screenings, developing Individual Health Plans, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with health laws. You will also provide health education, conduct workshops, and assist in disaster preparedness activities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally-accredited college or university.
- Possession of valid State of California License of Vocational Nursing.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, school health nursing, or pediatric nursing.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
- School Nurse Services Credential authorizing health services in grade level K-5.
- Previous school nurse experience.
