Summary
Helix Human Services is seeking a School Principal to lead their Mill Pond Schools located in Springfield and the Berkshires, focusing on students with social-emotional and behavioral challenges.
About the Role
As the School Principal, you will provide supervision and professional leadership to special education and behavioral health staff, oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards, and manage curriculum development and standardized testing. You will also conduct parent conferences, team meetings, and maintain communication with referral sources and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
About You
Required:
- Master’s degree in an educational field and certified in Special Education.
- Experience with de-escalation and behavior management models.
Preferred:
- Administrator License.
- Previous experience as a principal or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of school administrative processes and national educational standards.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office and education management systems.
- A teaching license.
