About the Role
As a Seafood/Lead Clerk, you will be responsible for directing and supervising all functions, duties, and activities for the Meat/Seafood department. Your daily tasks will include promoting teamwork among associates, establishing performance goals, training staff, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and creating a safe and clean environment for customers.
About You
Required:
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Current food handlers permit once employed
- Possess adequate knife handling skills and knife speed
Preferred:
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Management experience preferred
- Knowledge of cutting, traying, wrapping, and labeling
- Seafood experience
- Retail experience
- Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing)
