About the Role

As a Seasonal Patrol Officer (EnCon Ranger), you will assist the State Environmental Conservation Police by working with the public to ensure the safe and orderly enjoyment of State Parks. Your responsibilities will include patrolling assigned areas, enforcing laws, providing first aid, and preparing reports of daily activities. You will also be required to attend a mandatory training course and be available for weekend training sessions.

About You

Required:

Must be at least 21 years of age by May 30, 2026.
Fluency in English and possession of a valid motor vehicle license.
Ability to maintain adequate physical flexibility, strength, and stamina.

Preferred:

Experience as an EnCon Ranger or completion of a 120-hour Seasonal Ranger training course.
Current POST certification or recent retirement from a Connecticut police agency.
Knowledge of criminal and motor vehicle laws and law enforcement procedures.
