About the Role
As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for monitoring school environments, ensuring the safety and welfare of students, and communicating school policies to students and visitors. Your daily tasks will include patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, and assisting in crisis situations. You will also be required to maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, and school personnel.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience in security work for a bank, hotel, restaurant, retail store, school, or a public law enforcement or private security agency.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- First Aid and Crisis Prevention Institute training required or acquired at time of hire.
- IVP fingerprint clearance card through AZ Department of Public Safety.
Preferred:
- Completion of an Associate's Degree or 60 postsecondary credits in security or criminal justice studies.
- Ability to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, email, and database software.
