Summary
Hotwire Communications Ltd is seeking a Security Technician to join their team in Miami, FL. The role involves installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of access control, CCTV, and security systems hardware and software.
About the Role
As a Security Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security systems and related equipment. Your daily tasks will include following blueprints for electrical layouts, mounting control panels, inspecting installation sites, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining an organized vehicle. You will also participate in an on-call schedule and attend team meetings and training sessions.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree in Internet Technologies is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting cable, phone, and internet or smart home systems.
- Fire Alarm Systems Agent (FASA)/Burglar Alarm Systems Agent (BASA) certified.
- At least 1-year experience in installation of security systems, camera, and low voltage systems.
- Proficiency using small hand tools and larger power tools.
- Active and clean, non-restrictive, state issued driver’s license in State where hired.
- Comfortable working on a ladder and at all heights.
- Ability to work days, weekends, evenings, and holidays and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
