State of Oklahoma is seeking a Senate Bill Processing/Engrossing & Enrolling Specialist to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK. The role involves editing, proofreading, engrossing, and enrolling Senate measures throughout the legislative process to support the Oklahoma State Senate.
About the Role
As an Engrossing & Enrolling Specialist, you will format proposed legislative draft documents, consult with legislative drafters and attorneys, proofread and edit legislative drafts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and accuracy, prepare official copies of Senate measures incorporating committee and floor actions for House consideration, and prepare final official copies for the Governor's signature. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
About You
Required:
- Strong mastery of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and computer skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, including flexible and sometimes long hours during legislative sessions.
- College degree in English or comparable field and two years of experience in proofreading, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and technical training related to computers or legislative work.

- Willingness to learn new skills and continuously improve.
- Team player attitude and strong work ethic.
