About the Role
As a Senior/Lead Network Systems engineer, you will collaborate with customers, product management, and hardware engineers to design and build features that enhance the performance of Arista hardware. Your responsibilities will include writing software for various hardware components, designing software control interfaces, and mentoring junior engineers. You will also be involved in debugging, fine-tuning code, and ensuring the quality of deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle.
About You
Required:
- BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering + 8 years experience, or MS + 6 years experience, or Ph.D. + 3 years experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience in the design and development of hardware device drivers and/or system management utilities.
- Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
- Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systems.
- Experience working with low level hardware components.
