About the Role
As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, State Estimation, you will be responsible for implementing features to enhance the stability and reliability of pose estimates, designing fallback strategies, researching sensors and algorithms, and validating solutions on real vehicles. You will collaborate closely with perception, planning, and controls engineers to improve the pose and localization systems.
About You
Required:
- Demonstrated experience deploying state estimation algorithms in real robots such as Factor graphs, Kalman filters, and lidar odometry.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ and experience writing efficient algorithms for resource-constrained embedded systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience architecting state estimation systems from scratch.
- Experience with state-of-the-art visual odometry algorithms.
- 5+ years of software development experience in autonomy, robotics, or a related field.
