Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant - Construction to join their team in Miami Lakes, FL. The role involves overseeing the accounting department and ensuring the accuracy of financial information in the construction industry.
About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the accounting department, performing financial analysis, conducting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, managing GL accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, assisting in the development of accounting systems, supporting audits, collaborating with departments, and mentoring junior staff.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience with Year End Close, Monthly Reporting, and GL.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
