Georgia-Pacific Building Products is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide fiduciary support for multiple manufacturing locations within the Georgia-Pacific Gypsum business.
About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee fiduciary accounting for two to three manufacturing locations, manage the month-end closing process, conduct balance sheet analysis, and ensure compliance with Internal Financial Controls. You will also provide ad hoc support to various departments, promote innovative accounting workflows, and drive transformation through technology and automation. This role requires collaboration with location leadership to align with corporate vision and may involve travel of 10% to 20%.
About You
Required:
Previous experience in fiduciary accounting concepts including GAAP, general ledger, and financial statements.
Strong collaboration skills to build working relationships and solve problems.
Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment and improve processes.
Effective communication skills to articulate financial concepts to various audiences.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Experience with costing concepts, operations, financial economics, and manufacturing.
Familiarity with SAP and/or SAP S4Hana, Blackline, OneStream.
Manufacturing industry experience.
