About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing the City's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), managing the budget, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulations. You will supervise a team, provide training and technical guidance, conduct financial analyses, and coordinate audits. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the City's financial systems and develop new accounting procedures.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field with proof required.
- Four years of paid full-time equivalent professional accounting experience.
Preferred:
- Current CPA certificate.
- Knowledge of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) practices.
