Summary
The College Board is seeking a Senior Accountant, General Ledger to join their Finance team in New York City. The role involves maintaining the integrity of the organization’s financial data and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, performing bank reconciliations, managing account discrepancies, and supporting both internal and external audits. You will also manage Workday financial systems and ensure timely processing of banking and vendor data, contributing to continuous process improvement within the Finance organization.
About You
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in public and private accounting, specifically in General Ledger or Audit work.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit experience.
- Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in financial close work.
- Ability to travel 1-2 times a year for College Board business.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
