GuidePoint Security is seeking a Senior Application Security Consultant for their Strategic Services team, which is a remote position available anywhere in the U.S. The role focuses on delivering Application Security services to clients across various industries.
About the Role
As a Senior Application Security Consultant, you will guide clients in Application Threat Modeling, Application Architecture Reviews, and AppSec/DevSecOps Program Assessments. You will be responsible for authoring comprehensive assessment deliverables, understanding the application security landscape, and fostering client relationships. The role requires a willingness to travel up to 10% and involves contributing to practice development and marketing initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Application Security and/or Software Development, with at least 3 years in Application Security.
- Direct hands-on experience in application security service offerings, including application threat modeling, architecture reviews, and AppSec/DevSecOps program assessments.
- Development experience in JavaScript, shell, Python, Java, C++, PHP, or C#.
Preferred:
- Experience with application security controls, architectures, requirements, and industry standards.
- Operational DevSecOps experience.
- Excellent writing, communication, and time management skills.
