Summary
Siemens EDA (Siemens Digital Industries Software) is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer (Aprisa) to join their US-based field team in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on supporting and expanding the technical sales team for Aprisa, Siemens' Place & Route offering, by leading customer engagements and ensuring technical and sales success.
About the Role
As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will lead engagements with tier 1 customers, own critical customer relationships, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with sales, R&D, marketing, and support teams. You will help bring Aprisa to market, innovate business processes, and contribute to the growth of the technical sales team. The role involves flexible hours, occasional travel, and working closely with global stakeholders.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or VLSI.
- Over five years of industry experience.
- Strong understanding and working experience with Innovus, IC Compiler I/II, Aprisa, and/or Nitro-SoC.
- Experience with RTL to GDS flows at advanced nodes, including IC design tape-outs or P&R evaluations/benchmarking.
- Expert-level scripting skills (TCL, command line *nix).
- Good understanding of Verilog and UPF data formats.
- Ability to discuss floor planning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, signal & power integrity, and static timing processes.
- Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience leading technical sales or customer engagements.
- Ability to innovate business processes and work in a dynamic team environment.
- Experience mentoring or training junior engineers.
- Familiarity with customer-focused technical and business ROI considerations.
