KPMG US is seeking a Senior Associate, State & Local Tax - Asset Management to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves working with high-profile clients on state and local tax issues, including compliance, advising, planning, and controversies.
About the Role
As a Senior Associate in the State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, you will participate in multi-state alternative investment firms and companies, addressing state and local tax issues. Your responsibilities will include preparing clients for discussions with auditors, representing clients at hearings, managing client relationships, supervising staff, and conducting tax research.
About You
Required:
- A minimum of two years of experience performing tax research and preparing state income tax returns for pass-through and corporate entities.
- Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university.
- Experience providing services to pass-through entities and a solid knowledge of relevant state tax concepts.
- Excellent writing, compliance, communication, and tax research skills.
Preferred:
- Ability to foster relationships both internally as well as with clients.
- Ability and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
