Haystack is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with TS/SCI Clearance to join their team in Fort Meade, MD. The role involves architecting high-impact backend systems for national security and defense technology.
About the Role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will lead the engineering of robust back-end architectures and RESTful APIs, drive database management using PostgreSQL, and architect cloud-native solutions within AWS environments. You will collaborate on DevSecOps workflows and conduct comprehensive system testing to ensure compliance with project standards.
About You
Required:
- Active Secret security clearance or higher (TS/SCI preferred) and a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- 10+ years of software development experience with mastery of object-oriented and scripted languages.
- 5+ years of dedicated experience in Python, PostgreSQL, and building RESTful APIs.
- 3+ years of deep technical expertise with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux.
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tool suites including Docker, Ansible, Packer, Maven, and Jira.
- Proven ability to lead software development programs and implement Agile Test-Driven Development (TDD).
