Summary
MMR Consulting is seeking a Senior Bioprocess Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves leading the design, project execution, and commissioning of process systems in the biopharmaceutical industry.
About the Role
As a Senior Bioprocess Engineer, you will provide technical guidance in the design, project management, commissioning, and start-up of equipment and facilities. You will support project execution from feasibility to completion, prepare and review engineering drawings and specifications, manage engineering design firms and vendors, and integrate safety into all projects. The position may require occasional travel and offers a hybrid work environment.
About You
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical process engineering, with at least 6 years in bioprocess engineering.
- Knowledge of GMP requirements and basic understanding of SOPs, Validation, and Change Controls.
- Excellent written and spoken English, including preparation of technical documents.
- Experience in leading teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience with upstream and downstream biotechnological processes.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Engineering degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
