About the Role
As a Senior Catastrophe Risk Modeling Analyst, you will serve as a domain expert in catastrophe modeling, delivering analytical support for property treaties, validating submission data, and collaborating with underwriting teams. You will also develop reporting solutions, support catastrophe event responses, and communicate insights to stakeholders, contributing to the company's strategic risk assessment capabilities.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree or higher in science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in P&C insurance or reinsurance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in SQL; working knowledge of Python.
Advanced Excel skills; VBA experience preferred.
Preferred:
Experience with AIR models and AnalyzeRe platform.
Solid understanding of catastrophe modeling concepts and database structures.
Working knowledge of Spanish; fluency preferred.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior leadership.
Demonstrated interest in leadership development with a willingness to mentor others.
