WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Senior Civil Highway Engineer to join their Massachusetts Transportation Team in Boston, MA or Worcester, MA. The role involves design and plan production for highway and roadway projects, as well as mentoring junior engineers.
About the Role
As a Senior Civil Highway Engineer, you will lead project tasks for conceptual and preliminary engineering and final design activities, develop construction plans, and coordinate with other design disciplines. You will also provide guidance to entry-level engineers and remain current in civil engineering techniques and practices.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering discipline and prior civil design experience.
- Engineer in Training Certification.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and design/build applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective self-leadership and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new techniques and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with technical writing and office automation tools.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineering License in Massachusetts or ability to obtain within six months.
- Experience with highway and roadway design projects.
- Project management experience with small to mid-level projects.
