Seneca Holdings is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer (Active Top Secret Clearance Required) to join their team in Washington, D.C. The role involves driving cloud engineering initiatives and providing hands-on support for critical cloud environments.
About the Role
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will enable large-scale cloud deployments, optimize and maintain infrastructure for performance and security, and troubleshoot complex system operations. You will lead the design, deployment, and management of secure cloud infrastructures using Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, oversee cloud projects, manage Kubernetes environments, automate cloud infrastructure deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
About You
Required:
- Active Top Secret clearance, willing to accept an interim Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, and infrastructure management.
- Proven experience in deploying and managing cloud services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Strong expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, ARM, Bicep, JSON, YAML).
- Advanced skills in cloud security, identity management (Azure AD, OAuth), and network configurations.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and automation of cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex system issues.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or similar.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management.
