Summary
Apera is hiring a Senior CMM Programmer to support a high-growth aerospace manufacturing program. This is a hands-on, technical contract role for an experienced metrology professional who can program, validate, and troubleshoot advanced inspection systems.
About the Role
As a Senior CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating CMMs using CALYPSO and/or PolyWorks, developing measurement routines and inspection plans from engineering drawings, interpreting complex GD&T, performing inspections of precision aerospace parts, validating CMM results, creating and approving First Article Inspections (FAI), maintaining inspection data, and troubleshooting CMM and metrology system issues.
About You
Required:
- 7+ years metrology experience
- Strong programming experience in CALYPSO or PolyWorks
- Hands-on experience with CMMs, laser trackers, scanners, or portable arms
- Advanced GD&T interpretation skills
- Experience generating and approving FAI documentation
- Ability to identify inspection errors and initiate corrective actions
- Experience working in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting
