As a Senior Construction Inspector, you will perform on-site inspections, quality assurance, and progress monitoring at various construction projects. Your responsibilities include maintaining project records, conducting materials testing, and communicating with contractors to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. You will also assist in training and overseeing junior inspectors and may participate in project management activities.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED with significant experience in engineering, architecture, or a skilled craft in the construction industry.
- Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and construction management information systems.
Preferred:
- Certification(s) such as ACI Field Tech, VDOT Intermediate Work Zone, or VDOT Soils and Aggregate.
- Experience in inspecting highways, bridges, streets, and traffic control projects.
