About the Role
As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost standards for materials and labor, designing cost accounting systems, analyzing production costs, overseeing annual physical inventory, and conducting audits on financial statements. You will work closely with the production team to manage costs and report on variances, contributing to cost-effective solutions for production processes.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a cost accounting role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in variance analysis, inventory standard costing, and cycle count reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
- Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and proactive nature.
