Summary
Government Tactical Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join their team in Herndon, VA. The role involves designing, developing, and managing database systems to support the U.S. Intelligence Community.
About the Role
As a Senior Database Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and installing database management systems, including database modeling and design, relational database architecture, and metadata creation. You will utilize data mapping and mining tools, determine data storage requirements, prepare system requirements, and evaluate technology components for database management. Additionally, you will write and tune SQL queries and implement backup and replication solutions.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience; additional experience may substitute for degree.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a polygraph.
- Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Experience in database design and implementation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with Row Level Security and cross domain systems.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with data migrations from Oracle to Postgres.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools like Selenium.
- AWS experience, particularly with RDS.
- Experience with STIG hardening.
- Experience as a Scrum master or team lead.
