Guidehealth is seeking a Senior Director, Accounting and Financial Reporting to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves leading the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial reporting as the company continues to grow and innovate.

About the Role

As the Senior Director of Financial Reporting, you will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and insight. You will partner with the CFO and VP of Finance & Accounting to deliver transparent and actionable reporting, lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while ensuring GAAP compliance, and build scalable systems, policies, and internal controls that support growth and audit readiness. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement through automation and process enhancement, interpret complex accounting standards, mentor accounting staff, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data integrity.

About You

Required:

CPA required; Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
10–15 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience spanning public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier) and private industry.
Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.
Proven success leading consolidated reporting in multi-entity or growth-stage organizations.
Experience implementing and optimizing ERP and reporting systems.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills with strong communication and presentation ability.

Preferred:

Prior experience in healthcare, health services, or payer/provider environments strongly preferred.
Demonstrating leadership, ownership, and a hands-on approach to improving financial processes.
